Supporting Safe, Positive, and Child-Focused Parenting Time in Public Spaces
Community Location Visits allow children and parents to spend quality time together in approved public settings — such as parks, libraries, play centers, or other agreed-upon venues — while being monitored by a trained visitation supervisor. This option offers a more natural environment for interaction while still ensuring safety, documentation, and compliance with court or service agreements.
The location must be pre-approved by Amending Bonds staff.
Confirm the date, time, and meeting location at least 48 hours in advance.
Arriving late may shorten your visit.
Supervisors may leave if a parent is more than 15 minutes late without notice.
Bring only items approved in advance (snacks, toys, activities).
Dress appropriately for weather and location.
Avoid bringing large bags or unapproved items — they may be inspected.
A trained monitor will remain within sight and hearing range at all times.
All conversations and activities must be child-focused and appropriate for a public setting.
No discussion of court matters, custody issues, or adult disputes.
Physical discipline is strictly prohibited.
Follow location rules (e.g., park hours, no smoking areas, etc.).
End visits promptly at the scheduled time.
Follow safe departure procedures to avoid parent-to-parent contact.
Keep the goodbye positive and reassuring.
Only approved individuals may participate in the visit.
Locations may be changed or canceled if safety concerns arise.
Any violation of rules may result in a change of visitation type or suspension of services.
